How to speed up die changes. A new approach to an old problem. The new Banner Quick Change System allows complete die sets to be easily and safely removed and replaced in a matter of seconds. Changing a die set is simplicity itself. To remove the existing dies, first set the machine gauge to read ‘1’ . Operate the machine to the auto-stop position. Slide the die tool into the die location holes. Operate the machine to the fully open position. Slide out the complete die set. Place dies in the storage recess and twist die tool to release the die set. Place die tool in selected die set and twist to release dies from the storage recess. Slide the complete die set into location grooves within the machine head. Operate the machine, still set to read ‘1’ to the autostop position. The die tool can now be withdrawn.
